Just now, I looked out the window and saw a group of more than a dozen wild turkey poults with three adults in front of the day lilies on the hill. At one point, the hen outdistanced the poults; in their alarm, they spread their baby wings and flapped them to give themselves impetus and the sun lit up the fringe of pale feathers on their wings. A day that begins that way is already a good one!
May yours be equally blessed.
