Last night we went skinny dipping long enough to cool down and be able to sleep. Lying on our backs in the water, we could see Mars and Antares. Mars was brilliant - and RED! And Antares was nearly as bright. We went in and used the telescope to look at Mars. It looked like a miniature red moon. I love thinking about Antares, too. (Its name means opposite Ares = Mars.) There were no other stars visible- probably because of the moisture in the air. If we survive today, there's a cold front supposed to be coming through that will make the weekend bearable. Stay cool!
